This is a fantastic example of an Italian varietal produced in Australian soils. Fruit was sourced from individually selected vineyards in and around Heathcote.
Eighteen months aging in older oak barrels has helped soften the wine and let its vibrant fruit characters and zesty acidity shine through.
The nose offers spicy, tarry licorice notes backed up by plums and subtle oak.
A classic Nebbiolo mouthfeel of spiciness, fruitcake and truffles. Great texture with firm but round tannins with a spicy lingering finish.
