Mornington Estate is our regional focus brand. Produced to match with food or be enjoyed on their own these wines showcase the varieties that do best on the Mornington Peninsula. With consistent warm days and milder evenings, this year’s Pinot Gris ripened at a more even rate and was hand-picked in early March in peak condition. The fruit was whole bunch pressed to tank and cold settled overnight. The juice was racked to a mixture of old oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. The barrel fermented portion and lees stirring has produced a rich, round wine showing fresh pear as the dominant fruit character .
