2016 Pinot Noir
The Dromana Estate is our Premium range and was created to showcase the high quality of fruit grown on our vines.
Pinot Noir is the world’s most popular light-bodied red wine, which originates from France. It’s loved for its red fruit, flower, and spice aromas that are accentuated by a long, smooth finish. Winemakers love a challenge, and there is no doubt that Pinot is a challenging grape to grow, and even more challenging to make
40% whole bunch pressed which simply means that the grapes were not removed from the stalks, this gives a slight green and fresh flavour to the wine. Fermented with wild yeast and matured in French Oak Puncheons
Black fruits & dark cherry with underlying savoury notes and a hint of the forest floor!
A very versatile food pairing wine given its higher high acidity and lower tannin. Pinot Noir particularly a lighter bodied variety pairs well with charcuterie, ham, duck, chicken, pork, goat cheese, and fresh green vegetables like asparagus and mushrooms
