2017 PINOT NOIR
All the fruit for this wine was hand-picked and sorted prior to being gently destemmed to open fermenters. Fermentation was achieved through selected yeasts and all batches were gently encouraged to complete MLF ferment at the same time. The completed wine was transferred to aged French puncheons and left to its own devices for 10 months before bottling.
The wine is filled with engaging flavours and sensual mouthfeel; the gloriously expressed bouquet shows dark cherry, plum, smoked game, bay leaf and dark mushroom characters, leading to a exquisitely elegant palate that is brimming with rich fruit intensity and savoury complexity, magnificently supported by perfectly pitched tannins. Multi layered and symphonic with refinement and sophistication. At its best now until 2026.
